J & D Oil Service provides Product Stewardship which is essential for Safety and Compliance of all Recycled products to assure Quality Control.
On Site Lab and Quality Control is a must and an integral part of what we offer for the assurance of our Customers. Our fully equipped lab enables us to perform all required testing on each shipment before unloading.
Final disposition of all liquid collected by J & D Oil Service is recycled. The non-oil portions are separated and the water is either chemically treated or biodegraded and sent to a treatment storage and disposal facility for proper processing. This is done only under permit from the Environmental Protection Agency. The disturbing news is that over 200 million of the 1.3 billion gallons of used oil generated in the U.S. yearly are not collected, but rather dumped illegally or accidentally into sewers, streams, drains, landfills and backyards:
- Each year, do-it-yourself oil changers dump nearly 200 million gallons of used motor oil. Tragic when you consider just one gallon – the amount from a single oil change – can make a million gallons of fresh water undrinkable
- One quart of used oil can create a two-acre slick on surface water.
- 40% of the pollution in U.S. waterways is from used motor oil.
